Mid June we were once again on UC Santa Barbara’s campus for the six annual Commencement ceremonies held on the Faculty Club lawn.Thousands of people show up at each of the ceremonies to support the graduating class. This year’s event was more subdued than usual as it had only been a few weeks since the tragic rampage in neighboring Isla Vista and the ensuing loss of 6 UCSB students and wounding of 13 others.
