Mid October we spent an action-packed weekend providing sound & lighting for Three events in two cities. Saturday night we provided lighting for Jim Messina’s show at the Libbey Bowl in Ojai and at the same time provided a Meyer Sound system for Toad the Wet Sprocket in Solvang adding in a monitor rig for Tommy and the Hi Pilots.
For Toad’s FOH console we provided a Yamaha CL-5 along with a Midas XL250 monitor console and 8 Meyer Sound MJF-210 powered wedges for Tommy on Saturday and then for Jim Messina and his band on Sunday.
On Saturday night in Solvang opening acts Jonathan Kingham and Tommy and the Hi Pilots both put on great shows before the much awaited arrival of Toad the Wet Sprocket
We cover Santa Ynez Valley events throughout the year.
Sunday we re-configured the PA for Jim Messina and his special guest Rusty Young. This concert featured a lot of the music and songs that they created as members of Poco, Buffalo Springfield, and Loggins & Messina.
Outdoor community events like Earth Day in the Park use a similar rig.
Outdoor stages need lighting that works after dark.
