Yesterday afternoon we were at the beautiful Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara providing a lighting system for Theresa Caputo’s sold out performance.
Over two thousand people filed into the Theatre for a 3:00pm afternoon show on a Veteran’s day weekend
Inside the building we lite the stage as we would for any show but what was different on this show was that we also added lighting for the entire audience area including the balcony. Most of the action occurred not on stage but in the audience area as she at first entertained then interacted with an enthusiastic audience.
Their production team had some very slick wireless HD camera set ups that moved through the venue and captured the interaction between Theresa and her audience, projecting it on a large screen on stage so all could see and hear. They would communicate to us with wireless intercom and ask for the lighting to be brought up on any area that was live on Camera.
It is a common request on artist tech riders to allow no video or photos and this was one of them; so we honored that and have some exciting photos of the tour buses at the back of the Arlington for your enjoyment
